The drug contains soluble

polysaccharides is glucan,also contains hydroxy
-tetracosanoic acid, protein, malic acid,ergos-
terol, vitamin H, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
Intragastric adminis-
tration of the plant decoction showed diuretic
effect, and the polysaccharides of this herb
had antineoplastic activity. Both the extract
and the soluble ethanol extract could enhance
the reticuloendothelial phagocytosis in mice
and cause an increase in antibody forming cells
in the spleens of tumor-bearing mice,suggesting
it was a nonspecific immunostimulant.In vitro,
the ethanol extract inhibited Staphylococcus
aureus and Escherichia coli.

diarrhea, leukorrhea.
