The drug contains acaciin whose hydrolysates are acacetin, rhamnose,
glucose. .

| Pharmacology Actions: |
Acacetin, very similar
to quercetin, had vitamin P-like action. Oral
administration to mice at 25-100 mg/kg relieved
the methanol inflammation and decreased permea-
bility of blood vessels in skin and small inte-
stine at 50-100mg/kg. Acacetin exhibited anti-
spasm action on isolated rat intestine with
hypertonia induced by barium chloride,histamine
and acetylcholine. It also showed relaxant
action on choledochus smooth muscles by intra-
venous injection at 10-25 mg/kg in rabbits.
Intravenous injection at 25mg/kg slightly
increased the urine output (75%) after 25-30
minutes. It is not very toxic. The LD50 in mice
was 933mg/kg.

The drug is used to
remove heat, replenish the liver and clear the
eye of cornial opacity; for the treatment of
inflammation of the eye with lacrimination and
photophobia, blurred vision; nebula.
