| Pharmacology Actions: |
1. Antibacterial effect: The fruit decoction
showed inhibitory action against Staphylococcus
aureus,Eshcerichia coli,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,
Bacillus dysenteriae, Clostridium tetani and
against leptospirae and strong inhibitory action
against flu virus.
2. Effect on atherosclerosis:
It could significantly decrease the serum Cho-
lesterol and (-lipoprotein content in rabbits
with atheroscterosis,so to relieve fat deposit
in liver and atherosclerosis.
3. Astringent and
antidiarrheal effects: Oral administration of
fruits can enhance gastric secretion and help
digest, while decreased the enteromycodermitic
secretion, so it showed astringent and anti-
diarrheal effects.

| Actions and Indications: |
The drug is used to nourish kidney, restrain
seminal discharge, arrest dysentery and leu-
korrhagia, reduce the frequency of urination,
for the treatment of seminal emission,enuresis,
frequent urination, chronic diarrhea, chronic
dysentery, metrorrhagia, excessive leukorrhea.
