| Pharmacology Actions: |
In vitro studies the
aqueous decoction, ethanol extract or water
infusion showed antibacterial effect.The aqueous
decoction in vitro had antifungal action and the
effective concentrations are 1:160, 1:320, 1:480
respectively. The decoction (1:1) reduced the
mortality rate of guinea pigs with protein shock
and inhibitory action on isolated rabbit
intestines, but it still requires farther proof

| Actions and Indications: |
Smoked Plum is used as
antitussive, salivator, antidiarrheal; for the
treatment of chronic cough, diarrhea, diabetes,
vomiting, biliary ascariasis. Japanese Apricot
Flower is used to relieve depression, to re-
gulate Qi and to clear away toxins, for the
treatment of fidget, liver and stomach pain due
to disorder of Qi, scrofula, sores, etc..
