| Pharmacology Actions: |
Drug Description Subspherical,hemispherical or
round pieces, 4-7 cm in diameter. Outer surface
black green or yellow brown with sunken oil
spots and thick wrinkles of reticulated protru-
dings,summit with remains of style and a promi-
nent ring, base with remains of fruit stalk.
Texture hard. Odour fragrant; taste sour and

The drug is used as
carminative, expectorant, antitussive; for the
treatment of distending pain in the chest and
hypochondriac regions, vomiting and belching,
cough with copious phlegm.
