| Pharmacology Actions: |
The ethanol extract of
the seed had anti-blood coagulation action and
weak hemolytic action.It had hypotensive effect
on normal rats. The leaf infusion (1%) was
lethal to 90% of different kinds of mosquito
larvae within 24 hours. The decoction at 1:100
in vitro was lethal against leptospirae. The
leaf, flower and seeds are all toxic.

The drug is used as
bloodactivator and emollient; for the treatment
of amennorrhea, dysmenorrhea, mass formation in
the abdomen, traumatic injuries, and constipa-
tion.
