The fruit contains volatile oil,
including bornyl acetate,and camphor,¦Á-bornyl,
limonene, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The volatile oil and
aqueous decoction was inhibitory against Sta-
phylococcus aureus. It had anti-ulcer effect.
The aqueous decoction 0.25%-0.75% excited the
isolated intestines, while 1%-1.25% decoction
showed inhibitory action.

| Actions and Indications: |
The drug is used as
stomachic, tonic, antidiarrheal,carminative and
abortion preventive agent; for the treatment of
accumulation of damp in the spleen and the epi-
gastric stuffiness, anorexia, vomiting, and
threatened abortion.
