Drug Description Long cylindrical or long
spindle, slightly tortuous, both ends slender,
slightly tortuous, 30-70 cm long, 7-10 cm in
diameter. Externally yellowish white or dark
yellow, very rough. Texture pliable and light,
soft, fractured surface 3 cells visible, hol-
lowed. Odourless; tasteless. Fig.

The drug is used as
blood activator, antipyretic, expectorant; for
the treatment of numbness, pain and distention
in chest and hypochondriac region, amenorrhea,
