Dried Tangerine Peel contains
volatile oil, hesperidin, nobiletin, inositol,
etc.. The volatile oil includes limonene, ¦Á-,
¦Â-pinene, ¦Â-phellandrene, p-cymene, neral,
eucalyptol, etc.. Green Tangerine Peel contains
volatile oil, hesperidin, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The decoction of the
fruit peel and the ethanol extract had excita-
tory action on heart and increased cardiac
coronary flow, lowered blood pressure and heart
beat rate. It also showed bronchial dilation
action, inhibitory action on enterocinesia,
inhibitory action against the release of
heparinase, showing liver-protective effect.
The fruit peel powder shortened bleeding and
clotting time. The volatile oil had stimulant
expectorant action. Nobiletin had anti-asthma
effect and hesperidin and methyhesperidin dec-
reased capillary permeability and had vitamin
P-like anti-inflammation and anti-allergy
actions.
