| Constituents: |
The drug contains piperine, N-
isobutyl-decatrans-2-trans-4-dienamide, piperi-
dine and a small amount of piperlongumine,
piperlonguminine, and also contains palmitic
acid, tetrahydropiperic acid,1-undecylenyl-3,4-
methylenedioxy beuzene, volatile oil, sesamin.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The refined oil isolated
showed inhibitory action against Staphylococcus
aureus, Staphylococcus albus,Bacillus subtilis,
Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, etc..
Piperine exhibited disastrous effect on nerves
and muscular tissues of domestic flies,but the
effect was less powerful than Chrysanthemum
cinerariaefolium.Piperine showed marked effect
in reducing the rectum temperature in rats,
by IP,but after repeated injection the animals
became insensitive and lost the ability to
regulate the body temperature under high
temperature and pain Simulation.
