| Constituents: |
The drug contains arunddoin, cylindrin, taraxerol,
friedelin, ¦Â-sitosterol, stigmasterol, campe-
sterol. It also contains phenol, amino acid,
organic acid, saccharides.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
1.Its extract exerted antipyretic effect in
cats, rabbits, dogs with fever induced by the
hypodermic injection of Escherichia Coli, and
exerted diuretic effect,elevated the blood glu-
cose level.
2.Its diuretic effect is weaker than that of
Polyporus umbellatus and Caulis Clematisdi Arman-
dii but enhancing chloride excretin in urine was
stronger than that Polyporus umbellatus.
3.Its extract showed inhibitory action against
Staphylococcus aureus.

| Actions and Indications: |
The drug is used to clear away heat, ease the
mind, induce diuresis, for the treatment of
fidget and thirst in febrile diseases, pharyn-
gitis, laryngitis, ulcers in the mouth and on
the tongue,swelling and pain in the tooth, dy-
suria with reddened urine,urinary tract inflam-
mation.
