volatile oils, such as p-cymene, neryl acetate,
5-methyltnymol, ether, fumaric acid, succinic
acid, mannitol; its leaves contain coumarin,
d-coumaric acid, thynohydroquinone, taraxas-
teryl palmitate, taraxasteryl acetate, taraxa-
sterol, etc..

The volatile oil showed
inhibitory action against epidemic flu virus
and it also had expectorant effect.

The drug is used as
damp-drying agent, antipyretic; for the treat-
ment of stuffiness in the chest, nausea and
