The drug contains flavonoids,
such as orientin, luteolin-7-monoglycoside, vi-
texin, apigenin-7-monoglycoside, and it also
contains ¦Â-carotene, lutein, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The whole herb had
diuretic effect, and the active principle were
potassium acetate and potassium chloride. It
showed cardiotonic effect on weak frog heart
and had vasoconstrictility action and hyperten-
sive effect. The infusion or decoction at 2g/kg
intragastrically showed weak antipyretic effect
on rabbits with mix typhoid vaccine-induced
fever.

The drug is used as antirheumatic agent, promoting eruptions,
diuretic; for the treatment of measles with inadequate
eruption, urticaria, skin itching,anasarca, oliguria, etc..
