| Constituents: |
The root contains agrimonolide,
vanillic acid, 1-taxifolin, etc; the whole herb
contains agrimol A, B, C, D and E, luteolin-7-
¦Â-D-glucoside, cosmosiin, tannin, agrimonin A,
B, and C, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
Intravenous injection
of agrimonin sodium to rat ears at the dose of
2mg/kg increased platelets and shortened the
clotting time,indicating its hemostatic effect.
Cardiotonic action was exhibited by agrimonin,
which extract or alcoholic extract showed
inhibitory action against Staphylococcus aureus,
Trichomonas vaginalis, etc. The aqueous extract
also exhibited anti-inflammatory and hypo-
glycemic actions.

The drug is used as
hemostatic, detoxicant, anthelmintric; for the
treatment of hemoptysis,hematemesis, epistaxis,
melena, uterine bleeding, traumatic bleeding,
muscle weakness.
