The drug contains avicularin,
quercitrin, d-catechol, chlorogenic acid, p-
coumaric acid, mucilage, oxalis acid, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The decoction markedly
increased urine output and Na+, K+[aa1] ions
content by intragastric administration, so did
its ashes. The decoction also showed antibac-
terial actions against many common pathogens.
The aqueous and ethanol extracts exhibited
hypotensive action by IV. They also shortened
the clotting time and strengthened the tension
of uteri smooth muscles and could be used as
hemostatics.The MLD of the decoction or extract
in cats or rabbits was 20mg/kg.

The drug is used as
antiinflammatory agent, diuretic, antipruritic;
for the treatment of genitourinary tract infec-
tion, jaundice, nephritis, pain in the abdomen
caused by hookwarm, eczema,trichomonal vagini-
tis, ringworm infection, etc..
