The young leaf contains ilexside I
methylester, ilexside II, Ziyu-glycoside I,
lupeol, daucostero III, cornutaside A, VI,
cornutaside B, VII, cornutaisde C, VIII, cornu-
taside D, IX, cornuta-glycolipide A, B, 3,4-
dicaffeoylquinic acid, 3, 5-dicaffeoyl-quinic
acid, adenosine.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The leaf aqueous
decoction injection ( treated by ethanol and
NaHS2O3) perfused into the isolated guinea pig
heart increased coronary flow and enhanced
vasoconstractility.Both the aqueous and ethanol
extracts showed physiological contraceptive ef-
fects in mice.

| Actions and Indications: |
The drug is used as
febrifuge, expectorant, antitussive; for the
treatment of cough and fever due to asthenia
of riscera, lassitude in the loins and legs,
dizziness and tinnitus, hypertension.
