| Constituents: |
Fruits contain melianone, melinol, melianetriol,azaridine. Wood contains
nimbolin A, B, fraxinellone, 24-methyl-enecycloartanone. Seeds contain oil and
kinds of bitters such as salannine.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
1.Toosendanin containing in the drug had anthe-
lmintic effect.
2. The aqeous decoction of its bark or seeds
showed inhibitory action against various kinds
of skin fungi in Vitro.
3.It showed protective action on lethal botu-
lism and B type creatotoxism.
4. Toxicity: the animal tests showed that too-
sendanin was irritative to stomach and it can
make gastric mucosal edema, inflammation and
ulcer.
