The drug contains isoflavones:
formononetin, ononin, prunein, afromosin,
cajanin, daidzein, etc.; flavanones: 3,7-
dihydroxy- 6- methoxy- flavanonol; chalcones:
isoliquiritigenin, 2',4',3,4-tetrahydroxy-chal-
cone and licohalconA; coumestrols: medicagol
and 9-O-methyl-coumestrol; anthocyanidins: epi-
catechin; triterpenes: epi-fridelan-3-¦Â-ol; as
well as sterols: ¦Â-sitosterol, daucosterol and
7-keto-¦Â-sitosterol,and also contains protoca-
techuic acid.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
he decoction of its
dried root exhibited inhibitory action against
isolated and in vivo toad heart and lowered the
blood pressure of anesthetized rabbits and dogs,
while showed contractility action on isolated
rabbit ear and toad blood vessels. It enhanced
the contraction effect on uterus smooth
muscles.The aqueous alcohol precipitated decoc-
tion had anti early stage inflammation action.

the treatment of appendicitis, menstrual disor-
der, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, rheumatic
