Drives out water: for heat accumulation in the Stomach or intestines with such symptoms as severe constipation, abdominal distention, and urinary difficulty. Water is expelled through both the unine and stool.
Unblocks the bowels and removes accumulation: for constipation due to accumulation and stagnation of damp-heat in the Stomach and intestines. The dosage here is less than for the previous function.
Drives out phlegm and congested fluids: for cough, wheezing, and a sensation of fullness in the chest and abdomen due to congested fluids obstructing the Lungs.
Expels intestinal parasites and reduces stagnation: for roundworm or tapeworm infestations and food stagnation.
