The drug contains matrine, oxymatrine, N-me-
thylcytisine, anagyrine, sophoranone, sopho-
ranochromene, sophoradin, sophoradochromene,
pterocarpine, L-trifolirhizin, L-maackiain.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
1. Antineoplastive effect: Intragastic admini-
stration of on mice, extract could inhibit
cancer of uterine cervix (U14) induced by ino-
culation at 37.4%; matrine showed antineoplas-
tive effect on S180, Ehrlich ascitic carcinoma
in mice;Oxymatrine inhibited S180; pterocarpine,
trifolirhizin and maackiain also showed autineo-
plastive effect; they are used for the treatment
of neoplasia in clinical.
2. Pterocaxpine also showed certain anti-mould
effect

| Actions and Indications: |
It is used to remove toxic heat, dispel swelling
and relieve pain. For the treatment of sore
throat gingiva swelling pain, cough and jaundice
caused by lung heat, constipation; external use
for swelling due to toxic heat, snake bites.
