The drug contains dauricine,
daurinoline, dauricinoline, dauricoline, magno-
florine, menisperine, acutumine, acutumidine,
sinomenine, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
Dauricine showed
hypotensive action on anesthetized animals with
pulse amplitude increased and transient respira-
tory excitation.In clinic,it showed therapeutic
effect on light hypertension patients by impro-
ving glomerular filtration. It inhibited the
contractility on the isolated rabbit intestine
and decreased the tension on in situ intes-
tines, showing anti-spasm action. It also
decreased the cholesterol with low toxicity but
large therapeutic amplitude. MLD in cats was
35mg/kg IV. Menisperine showed good muscle
relaxant effect, and the effect was similar to
that of curare. It also exhibited hypotensive
action on dogs, cats and rabbits, and blocked
the impulse conduction in cats, ganglion
cervicale superius. It also could increase the
tension in isolated rabbit intestines, which
could be blocked by atropine.

agent; for the treatment of sore throat, dysen-
tery, cough.
