| Constituents: |
The drug contains iridin and
irigenin, tectoridin and tectorigenin,shekanin,
irisflorentin.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The decoction or ex-
tract (1:10) of the herb in vitro inhibited
common pathogenic skin fungi; at the concentra-
tion of 1:20 in vitro it also exhibited inhibi-
tory or delaying action on some influenza virus
or viruses caused throat diseases (gland3
virus, ECHO11). Tectoridin or tectorigenin in
vitro showed anti-hyaluronic acid action and
could not be blocked by cysteine .It also inhi-
bited ascitic effusion caused by intraperito-
neal injection of mustargen. Its ethanol or
water extract by oral administration or injec-
tion promoted the saliva excretion of rabbits.
It also showed estrogen-like action.It had very
low acute toxicity.

treatment of sore throat, cough and asthma,
tonsillitis, parasititis, mastitis, bronchitis;
external use for traumatic injuries.
