| Pharmacology Actions: |
Experiments on animals
showed that aconitine and hypaconitine had
analgesic action. The total alkaloids or the
decoctions of the white roasted slices and the
black roasted slices showed antiinflammation
action. The white roasted slices decoction
showed strong cardiotonic effect. Its decoction
also showed a stimulant action on the pituitary
-adrenocortical system.

Prepared Common Monk-
shood Daughter Root is used for causing
restoration from collapse,and reinforcing yang,
dispelling cold and relieving pains; for the
treatment of collapse with cold limbs and faint
pulse, precordial and abdominal pain with cold
sensation, impotence, frigidity, diarrhea or
edema accompanied by aversion to cold and cold
extremities,chronic arthritis. Common Monkshood
Mother Root is used for antirheumatic, anal-
gesic; for the treatment of collapse with cold
limbs and faint pulse, precordial and abdominal
pain with cold sensation, impotence, frigidity,
diarrhea, edema, chronic arthritis.
