The drug contains saponin,ecdysterone, inokosterone.

| Pharmacology Actions: |
The tests show that
ecdysones contained in the herb had a strong
protein anabolic action. The ethanol extract
exhibited inhibitory actions on the isolated
frog heart and on the anesthetized cat heart
and dog myocardium. In vitro studies showed the
decoction or extract had an excitatory action
on the rabbit and mouse uteri while had a rela-
xant effect on the uterus of nonpregnant cat
and an excitatory action on the uterus of the
pregnant animals.The alcohol preparation showed
significant therapeutic effects against formal-
dehyde-induced swelling of rat paws.

The drug is used as
tonic for the liver and the kidney, bloodacti-
vator; for the treatment of gonorrhea, hema-
turia,amenorrhea,mass formation in the abdomen,
dystocia, abdominal pain by postpartum blood
clots,laryngeal paralysis,carbuncles, traumatic
injuries.
