Anticonvulsive effect: A preparation composed of equal parts of powdered Buthus
Martensi and Scolopendra Subspinipes given orally to mice was very effectve in
stopping convulsions due to strychnine, less so for those from nicotine, and not
at all for those from cocaaine. The effect of Buthus Martensi is not as strong as
that of Scolopendra Subspinipes.

Used to subdue the endogenous wind for the treatment of various kinds of tics,
convulsions, tetanus and sequelae of cerebrovascular accidents.
