| Constituents: |
The drug contains volatile oil,
such as atractylodin, hinesol, atractyledon,¦Â-
eudesmol, etc..

| Pharmacology Actions: |
In vitro, the volatile
oil from the herb, atractylodin had inhibitory
actions on 109 esophageal carcinoma cells.
Hinesol and ¦Â-eudesmol were synergistic to
have hypnotic action. Its extract showed hypog-
lycemic action.

| Actions and Indications: |
The drug is used as
stomachic and anti-rheumatic agent; for the
treatment of anorexia, indigestion,vomiting and
diarrhea, edema, rheumatic, arthralgia, night
blindness, rickets eczema, etc..
